Designed in 1959 by Poul Kjærholm for E. Kold Christensen (now produced by Fritz Hansen), the PK33 stool is a pinnacle of minimalist mid-century Danish design. The piece features a perfectly circular, detachable cushion upholstered in rich tan leather that shows a beautiful, authentic vintage patina. The cushion rests elegantly upon a circular painted ring, which is supported by a distinctive three-legged base crafted from matte, spring-loaded flat steel. Each leg curves gracefully at the top and terminates in small black protective plastic glides at the feet, embodying Kjærholm’s signature mastery of combining industrial steel with warm, organic materials.
