This iconic Mid-Century Modern floor lamp is the sought-after Model G-230, designed and manufactured in the 1960s by the renowned Swedish firm Bergboms (Bergbom & Co AB). Crafted entirely from premium solid brass, the lamp embodies the core philosophy of Scandinavian minimalism through an extremely slender, linear framework defined by a tall vertical stem that bends into a perfect 90-degree right angle cantilever. The stem is asymmetrically anchored to a heavy, solid circular disc base providing flawless stability as a structural counterweight to the overhanging arm, which culminates in a compact, adjustable dome-shaped shade; the shade is fitted with a swivel joint to precisely direct the light beam, making it an ideal piece for reading next to a lounge chair.
