This exceptional modular system featuring a pair of matching low bookcases belongs to the celebrated 'China Series' (Model 152), designed by Danish master Børge Mogensen in 1954 for C.M. Madsen and produced during the 1960s by FDB Møbler. Inspired by the rigorous lines of traditional Asian cabinetmaking, the set epitomizes Scandinavian functionalism through a refined dual-tone material composition. The upper shelving unit is constructed from premium teak wood in warm, rich brown hues, showcasing a striking natural grain and featuring height-adjustable shelves. Both units rest on their distinctive, elevated solid oak base, visually lightened by the iconic 45-degree diagonal corner brackets at the joints. Each individual cabinet features the following dimensions: 122 cm in width, 113 cm in height, and 26 cm in depth. The set is in excellent vintage condition, beautifully preserving its rich original patina.
