Peanut pendant

This refined Scandinavian modernist pendant lamp features the celebrated 'Peanut' model (Model 151040011), a lighting masterpiece designed by Danish master Bent Karlby in 1946 for the renowned manufacturer LYFA. The fixture is highlighted by a spectacular, asymmetrical hourglass-shaped shade crafted from premium, hand-blown triplex opaline glass, specifically engineered with a satin finish to emit a soft, warm, and entirely glare-free ambient light. The sculptural purity of the white glass is beautifully elevated and framed by two decorative ring collars in solid slatted perforated brass, placed at the top entry and the closed bottom cap of the piece. The minimalist silhouette is completed by a solid brass rigid suspension rod that adds vertical elegance to the design. The lamp features standard dimensions of approximately 50 cm in shade height and a maximum diameter of approximately 30 cm. It remains in excellent vintage condition, beautifully preserving a rich, authentic original patina on the brass surfaces.
