The Model 522, also known as the Fjøskrakk (barn stool), is an iconic piece of Norwegian Mid-Century Modern design created in 1964 by Ragnvald Krogenæs. Crafted entirely from solid pine, it features a distinctive ergonomically sculpted seat—reminiscent of a tractor seat—mounted on a sturdy three-legged base with arched stretchers. Originally inspired by traditional milking stools, this piece is highly regarded today for its minimalist aesthetic, organic shape, and the warm, rustic character of its wood grain.
