This exquisite modernist stoneware bowl features the iconic 'ARU' model, designed by the celebrated ceramicist Gunnar Nylund in the 1950s for the historic Swedish manufacturer Rörstrand. The piece stands as a superb example of mid-century Scandinavian biomorphic design, noted for its exceptionally thin walls and an elegant silhouette that tapers down to a narrow footed base. This striking edition is coated in a glossy dual-tone glaze, featuring a vibrant cerulean blue body that dramatically bleeds into deep dark brown and black flamed pooling toward the base. A crisp, dark ochre-brown rim elegantly trims the top edge. The bowl features standard dimensions of approximately 12.5 cm in diameter and 9 cm in height. It remains in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks, fully preserving its authentic incised Rörstrand three-crowns logo and GN signature underneath.
